Located 25 km east from Chong Khneas this village offers a different view of the fish economy based village life. The buildings in Kampong Phluk stand on 6 meters stilts within the floodplain of Tonle Sap. Not many foreigners go here which gives you a good opportunity for a closer look at the life on the lake.

Take a walk in the village and maybe eat dinner at a family’s house or a restaurant. Do not forget to rent the small boats and explore the flooded forest. Or just enjoy the quiet and un-touristy atmosphere.

To get there, just go to the docks in Chong Khneas and charter a boat. Prices start at 35 $ for half a day. Or take a moto/car to Rolous village and take a boat through the flooded forest the rest of the way. Or just ask us, and we are happy to organize it for you.
